What a wonderful story. Especially the part about how no one is wrong in the story.

It is sad that neither of them understands, but that is often the case. The power of the story to me is that connections aren't fleeting and the strength that both father and child have. If they weren't connected the boy would have never confided in the father. That strength of the boy to tell his father, the strength of the father to listen to such hard words is powerful. It doesn't fix anything, but it can be start.

Hmm. I'm pretty sure I'm not the boy or the father. I wonder who is. It makes me sad that connections are so fleeting and misunderstanding is so easy.
